Dear supporter, On the last day of Carers Week 2021, we want to say a massive THANK YOU to you for getting involved. Whether you ran activities, added your voice to our wall, made a pledge or took part in our breaks campaign, your support brought Carers Week to life. It was fantastic to see people across the country coming together to support and celebrate carers through all sorts of activities - from walks in the sunshine to online advice clinics, workplace events to craft and cookery sessions, and much, much more. Carers Week is over for this year but carers continue to face huge challenges. Our ‘Breaks or breakdown’ report, released for Carers Week, found that 72% of carers have not had any breaks from caring during the COVID-19 pandemic. Over a thousand of you have already written to your MP, but there’s still time to join our campaign to increase funding for carers’ breaks by clicking the button below. |
