Stroke Care

Stroke Care is an award winning registered charity based in Southwark, London. Its work focuses on prevention of strokes by working closely with other agencies to raise awareness in local communities, as well as rehabilitation services and support to improve the quality of life of those affected by stroke, and other related debilitating ill health.

Stroke Care manages a number of projects providing a range of social, health and community care services, including Outreach Home Support; Health Advocacy Awareness Workshops; Telephone and Outreach Befriending; and an Equipment Store.

Southwark Refugee Project

Southwark Refugee Project is a well established voluntary organisation serving the refugee community in the London borough of Southwark since October 1991. SRP was created by refugees and is managed mainly by refugees. We are an independent organisation and our services are free and confidential.

All refugees, regardless of race, colour, nationality, political opinion, religion, sex, marital status or disability, are encouraged to come to the office for advice and referral session. Remember! This project is for refugees and if you are one, make sure that you make use of the available services. All you need to do if you are coming for the first time is to come in one of our drop-in session, which is on Monday and Wednesday from 10.00am to 3.30pm

Solace Women’s Aid

Solace Womens Aid offers a range of support for people who may be victims of domestic abuse. The Southwark Advocacy and support services (SASS) is a confidential service available to women and men aged 16 or over who may be subject to physical, sexual, psychological or financial abuse within an intimate or family relationship. Additionally they offer Advice; Legal Services; Perpetrator Programme; Counselling; Refuges; Family & Children’s Support; support for Women aged over 55; Drug and Alcohol use; and an Irish and Irish Traveller service.

LSBU Legal Advice Drop-in

London Southbank University offers free lega advice drop-in assistance, services provided by its students on a voluntary basis. Public drop-in sessions take place on Wed 10am-12noon, Wed 3pm-5pm and Thurs 2pm-4pm – during term-time only.
