Southwark IAPT offers a free counselling service to residents of Southwark. IAPT stands for Improving Access to Psychological Therapies. We are here to help if:

you would like to know more about self-help or talking therapies
Kids work with disabled children, young people and their families, and offer a range of family support services, including:
– Home Learning – home learning for children aged 0-5, focusing on developing social, communication, and motor skills, as well as developmental play sessions for babies under 18 months, useful e.g. Downs Syndrome.
– Advice and information for parents, including training.
– Siblings, supporting siblings of children with a disability.
Cambridge House offers a variety of services available to clients with disabilities on personal budgets to realise their potential. Our staff are highly trained and can tailor every programme to meet individual needs and targets, based on the high quality services we’ve delivered to adults with disabilities for over 35 years. These include 19 Plus, a creative group which promotes clients’ independent living skills; Saturday Arts Club, using art as a channel for expression and personal development; and a Holiday Activity Scheme over the Easter and Summer, with sporting and creative themes.
South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust (SLaM) provides specialist mental health and substance misuse services to people living in the London boroughs of Southwark, Lambeth, Lewisham and Croydon. We usually see people with complex mental health needs that cannot be treated by their GPs or local NHS teams.
The Organisation of Blind African Caribbeans (OBAC) was founded in 1988 by a group of committed visually impaired African and Caribbean people. OBAC became a registered charity in 1994.
Community group for children aged 8-18 with physical and sensory disabilities. Provides an After School club that runs Mondays-Fridays, and a holiday play scheme offering various activities and outings and a drop in centre for ages 18-25. It also runs a Saturday club providing numerous courses including: English, IT, Maths and French.
