Join the new Old Kent Road Community Review Panel

We hope that you and your families are safe and well during this difficult time.

Responding to the COVID-19 emergency is the council’s top priority at the moment and we are concentrating our efforts on critical services. But we are also continuing other important work, where possible, to ensure we can get back up to speed, quickly, when this crisis is over.

This means we’re continuing with our plans to deliver the new homes and new jobs that the Old Kent Road area needs. To help us, we’re setting up a new panel, comprising local people, to review and comment on these plans.

Now we want to recruit at least 15 people to participate.

Old Kent Road is undergoing a major transformation and we want to ensure that the growth this brings will benefit those people who already live in the area. So it’s essential that we listen to the views of the community and that local people have a say in decision-making. The Community Review Panel will be one of the ways in which we do this.

We want 15 local people to be members of the panel and to participate in one meeting a month for at least a year. We want people of all backgrounds and ages (aged 18 or over) none of whom will need any specialist knowledge or experience in order to participate.

We especially want to hear from people who aren’t already involved with an established community group in the area and to listen to those voices that are not currently being heard.
