Have your say on walking in Peckham

Southwark Council is working with Transport for London to make Peckham safer for pedestrians. We want to find out how you feel about walking in the town centre and get your ideas about how to make the streets safer and more pleasant.

Tell us by coming along to one of the workshops or alternatively go online atwww.southwark.gov.uk/peckhamwalking

Workshop times:

6.30pm to 8.30pm Thursday 15 October and Thursday 5 November 2015 at All Saints Church Blenheim Grove, SE15 4QS

To find out more, email peckhampp@atkinsglobal.com

You can also attend a Community Street Audit organised by Living Streets, the UK charity for everyday walking on Thursday 22 October 2015, 10.30am to 12pm and 6.30pm to 8pm. Meet at the entrance to Peckham Library.

Community Street Audits allow members of the public to evaluate the quality of your public spaces and highlight issues which concern you in a very detailed and site specific way. It will take the form of a guided walkabout, looking at issues such as footways, facilities and signage, maintenance and enforcement, crossings, road layout, traffic, aesthetics etc. The issues highlighted on these walkabouts will be addressed by the project, ultimately leading to real and lasting improvements to your town centre.
