Get ACTive in Walworth with free weekday courses

ACTive Walworth is a FREE programme of training to give you the skills, knowledge and experience you need to be more active in your community and to improve your career prospects.

Between now and July 2013 ACTive Walworth will offer accredited training, volunteer work placements, training bursaries and funding/support to help you set up and run your own events. 

The ACTive Walworth training courses will provide you with knowledge and skills in areas such as: first aid, safeguarding, events management and health and safety. As part of the courses you will also have the opportunity to gain valuable work experience through placements in local organisations in your chosen area of interest, e.g. marketing, finance, admin, youth work, HR, IT. Course graduates will also receive funding and support to help set up their own community events.

There are 3 FREE 6-week training courses for local residents (over 19 years), dates listed below.

All sessions are help at InSpire, The Crypt at St Peters, Liverpool Grove, London SE17 2HH on Tuesday and Wednesday from 12.30pm-3pm.

Course 1: Tuesday 6th Nov – Wednesday 12th Dec 2012

Course 2: Tuesday 12th Feb – Wednesday 20th March 2013

Course 3: Tuesday 30th April – Wednesday 5th June 2013
