The Mental Health Foundation is hosting an event at Warwick University for an important piece of research on compulsory admissions, funded by the National Institute for Health Research.

They are seeking people from a variety of English counties excluding London with experience of being detained under the Mental Health Act to:

•    take part in discussions

•    review research questions

•    help ensure that the research has a focus on what matters to people who

•    have experienced detainment under the mental health act

Date:  Friday 1st March

Time: 1pm-5pm

Venue: Warwick University

 

Participants will be paid £25 each and all travel expenses will be covered.

Lunch and afternoon refreshments will be provided

The event will take the form of a discussion between a small group of people with experience of compulsory admission. It will be an opportunity to share stories.

The Future of Mental health services survey

The Mental Health Foundation have launched an inquiry into what mental health services might look like in 20 to 30 years’ time.

They want your input into what you think mental health service provision should consist of in the future.

The inquiry panel of mental health professionals, service users and carers will work to gather evidence from a range of audiences to help shape the mental health services of tomorrow, and we need your help.
