Based in Jamaica Road, Bermondsey, the Opendoor Resource Centre provides a range of activities for Southwark residents aged 18-65 with severe and enduring mental health needs as their primary diagnosis. Staff encourage members to identify goals so they can work towards a more independent and fulfilling life.
Lambeth Mencap provides support to service users and carers at home and in the community through our Community Support Service. They provide leisure activities including holidays and trips as well as activities such as drama and music workshops through the Friends Service and we provide help with Individual Budgets through our Support Planning service.
Provides support to people with Learning Disabilities to gain skills using their Personal Budget to enable more independance. It offers support on a 1-1 or group basis, and can assist people with Learning Disabilities make their first move towards independent living.

Cambridge House offers a variety of services available to clients with disabilities on personal budgets to realise their potential. Our staff are highly trained and can tailor every programme to meet individual needs and targets, based on the high quality services we’ve delivered to adults with disabilities for over 35 years. These include 19 Plus, a creative group which promotes clients’ independent living skills; Saturday Arts Club, using art as a channel for expression and personal development; and a Holiday Activity Scheme over the Easter and Summer, with sporting and creative themes.
South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust (SLaM) provides specialist mental health and substance misuse services to people living in the London boroughs of Southwark, Lambeth, Lewisham and Croydon. We usually see people with complex mental health needs that cannot be treated by their GPs or local NHS teams.
The Dragon Cafe is Mental Fight Club’s special community space to creative explore mental illness, recovery and wellbeing. It is open every Monday from 10am-8pm, every week of the year.
Typically, the cafe runs a range of creative activities including poetry, film, drama and exercise.
Copleston Centre provides a range of therapeutic activities for people with mental health problems in the Peckham/East Dulwich area, as part of the Creative Therapies Project.
