Westway CT is making mobility scooters available for hire at Borough Market.

The mobility scooters can be hired from the Parking Attendant in the Jubilee Place Car Park at Borough Market.  Currently the Parking Attendant is on site 09:45 to 15:15 Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays; 10:45 to 17:15 Thursdays; 11:45 to 18:15 Fridays and 07:45 to 17:15 Saturdays.  In the near future the Parking Attendant’s hours will be changed to 09:45 to 17:15 Monday to Friday and 07:45 to 17:15 on Saturdays.

Charges
A minimum charge of £5.00 for up to two hours applies
An additional £5.00 charge will apply for each additional two hours or part thereof – for example: one hour = £5.00; two and a half hours = £10.00.

ID Required
We can accept a driving licence, passport or similar photo ID – an ID must be retained during the rental term as a deposit
The individual hiring the scooter will need to fill in the forms supplied and submit these along with payment

General notes
Our Parking Attendants have been instructed to exercise caution if hiring out scooters in busy times; they may decide that if the market is overcrowded, it is not safe to hire out mobility scooters.  In practice we would not recommend clients hiring a scooter on Friday or Saturday as the market can get really busy but we encourage visits the rest of the week (bearing in mind the Market is closed on Sunday).  The best days would be Wednesdays and Thursdays as the market is almost entirely open but it is not as busy as Fridays and Saturdays so users of the scooters can have a better experience.  Mondays and Tuesdays are the quietest days but not all of the stalls are open.
