Invitation to (Veolia Southwark) Jobs fair

On Thursday 14 July 2011 Veolia Environmental Services will be holding a ‘jobs fair’ to encourage local people to apply for opportunities at the new Integrated Waste Management Facility (IWMF) at the former gasworks site on Old Kent Road.

Positions available

Veolia have supervisory, maintenance, mobile plant (fork lift truck, 360Ëš grab and shovel operators), technical and entry level roles available on site. We would like to hear from anyone with a background in waste management, manufacturing or production processes, or anyone who would like to get started in a new career within the waste management sector.

The facility is currently still under construction and the constructions company, VolkerFitzpatrick are looking for trainee engineers, groundworkers, labourers and general construction operatives.

Full job descriptions will be available on the day and released through Jobcentre Plus in the weeks before the event

Staff from Veolia Environmental Services and VolkerFitzpatrick will be on hand to answer questions about these vacancies and the new facility itself. Jobcentre Plus staff will be available to advise on employment matters such as CV writing and suitability for the posts. Please be aware that all applicants will need to hold a valid UK work permit if not a British Citizen.
