Improving inpatient mental health services for children and young people

YoungMinds are working with NHS England to get young people involved in the action NHS England is taking to improve inpatient mental health services for children and young people (CAMHS inpatient services). This is in response to NHS England publishing a ‘frank & honest’ report on the services earlier this year.
As part of this work YoungMinds want to speak to as many young people as possible to help develop new guidelines for environmental standards within CAMHS inpatient services and for the planning and management of leave from CAMHS inpatient services (whether acute, eating disorder, learning disability, PICU, low and medium secure). They also want to understand more about young people’s experiences of entering and leaving an in-patient unit.

They would like to speak to young people aged 14-25 who are currently staying in inpatient services or have used them in the past and were under the age of 18 at the time (participants aged 14-16 will need parental/carer consent to participate)

To get involved please email Yvonne Collins.

Participants are being offered a £10 shopping voucher.
