South London Cares

Due to the spread of Coronavirus, South London Cares have made the difficult decision to suspend our Social Clubs from Friday 13th March until Thursday 30th April 2020, and are asking all Love Your Neighbour friends to catch up over the phone rather than in person during this time. Our face-to-face outreach activities will also be suspended.

As a charity that brings together people over 65 and their younger neighbours across Southwark and Lambeth, it is our foremost priority to protect the health and wellbeing of our community, particularly those most at risk.

We’ll still very much be supporting our older neighbours remotely throughout this period, through regular phone calls and letters, in order to help keep our community as connected as possible during these challenging times.

We’re also committed to working out how this can have as little negative impact on partners and facilitators who rely on our bookings. If we have a club or event booked with you, we’ll be in touch shortly about payments and the possibility of using this as credit for another booking, and any future dates we’d like to book in.

We’re so grateful of the support you have shown South London Cares, and we’re looking forward to continuing our relationship once the immediate risk to our community has passed.

Very best wishes,

Matt and the South London Cares team
