On Friday 14 and Saturday 15 October 2011, The LSBU Sports Centre will be hosting the Academy of Sport LiveWell Open Days, this event is aimed at engaging the 26,000 staff and students of the university as well as the local community, local schools, businesses, sports organisations, media and local councillors.

Over the two days, LSBU Sports Centre will provide free events and activities with the aim of increasing participation and raising awareness. There will be a mirage of activities and workshops as part of our FitFest, sports injury clinic and Junior Activities programmes. These activities will range from half an hour free fitness classes, Body fat testing, Healthy eating advice, 50+ sessions, Heart rate monitoring as well as a bouncy castle, face painting, entertainment and competitions.
