The Human Library
Time: 2:00 pm
The Human Library is a worldwide movement that began in Scandinavia at the turn of the millennium.
The idea is that people volunteer to be books and make themselves available to visitors for a one to one conversation of around 10 to 15 minutes duration about any aspect of their life story that they're willing to share. The purpose of the project is to improve understanding between people, or to simply gain some insight into another person's life experience or point of view.
It works on the basis that everyone has a story to tell, and we're encouraging people to think again if they consider theirs to be too ordinary or not particularly interesting.
